Letting Go...

Beautiful to read, harder to practice.
If you ever heard an Alan Watts lecture, you would know that he used dark humour to get his message across. He reminds us that the slow process of death is our helper. You have lost it all already; so why fight the natural process?.
It is a blessing to know when to let go. I would be lying if I gave you a list of ''signs it's time to let go''. That is completely up to you. The emotional, physical and mental exhaustion that comes with holding onto something that is causing you more distress than peace, can only be addressed by you.

But when you have finally reached that breaking point. Playing God and insisting that you will control life, is a lot more painful than accepting that something is just not working out. There is immense freedom that comes with surrender. God rewards you for putting your faith and trust in him. Your spirit becomes lighter, because it is not trying to play the role of the creator. As Alan Watts said; you have lost it all already, but in the future. The partner, the friends, the material things and even yourself.
There is immense power that comes from knowing that the universe will take care of you! That the creator will send what you need and remove what does not serve you any longer. I have come to the conclusion that the hardest battles are the unseen. Even worse is to fight the natural progression of life; because inherently you have no control.
If you are like me, and have deep attachment issues you have to accept that people and phases will come into your life and then they will pass. My suffering has always come from attaching external things wether people, places or material things with my sense of self. If you want to create room for healthier and happier you, the sense of who you are and what you have to offer to the world, is simply your 'self'. The healthy, happy and best version of you!
You have to visualize a future where you are able to move on and live a happy and full life. Despite whatever you are holding on too right now that gives you a fake sense of security. Discomfort signals growth, it is calling you to higher heights. Somethings need to be shed for you to bloom. So bloom.
